The Event Management Intern with Decriminalize Nature Chicago will play an essential role in organizing and executing events, advocacy initiatives, and grassroots lobbying efforts. This internship offers hands-on experience working closely with national principals to support strategic advocacy initiatives, coordinate community engagement efforts, and enhance public outreach efforts. Reporting directly to the Decriminalize Nature Chicago Operations Coordinator, this position also provides opportunities to gain experience in national initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in grassroots lobbying and drafting policy briefs.

Qualifications

  • Preferred but not required: Experience or pursuing a certification/degree in event management, public relations, political science, nonprofit administration, communications, or a related field.
  • Previous internship or work experience in event management, advocacy, or fundraising is preferred but not required.
