We are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Events to lead our go-to-market strategy through a dynamic events program. This vital role will enhance brand visibility and support growth by coordinating industry events and our prestigious annual thought leadership conference, The Leadership Innovation Exchange (LINE). Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), you will collaborate with various teams, including sales, marketing, and client engagement, to ensure impeccable execution and demonstrable success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an annual events strategy that aligns with company objectives and emphasizes return on investment (ROI).

  • Oversee the planning and execution of individual events with creativity, precision, and a commitment to high-quality standards.

  • Coordinate promotional strategies across channels in collaboration with the marketing team to align with overarching strategies.

  • Collaborate closely with the sales team on lead management to optimize conversion rates.

  • Achieve and surpass quarterly and annual lead generation and pipeline growth targets.

  • Communicate clear event plans and results to senior leadership and the broader organization.

  • Create and manage detailed project plans for our annual thought leadership conference (LINE), ensuring all aspects from planning to execution are covered.

  • Partner with leadership, sales, marketing, and product teams to develop the agenda, recruit speakers, and engage attendees effectively.

  • Oversee speaker preparation and communication to guarantee readiness.

  • Manage the continuous evolution of LINE branding and maintain the event website.

  • Maintain a calendar of speaking submission deadlines and proactively coordinate submissions.

  • Propose relevant session topics and speaker suggestions, leveraging internal and client expertise.

  • Collaborate with event partners to identify and secure speaking opportunities.

  • Monitor progress toward event-specific and overall program goals, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.

  • Provide regular, precise performance reports to senior leadership.

  • Manage and track all event-related expenses within the marketing budget.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of marketing experience, with at least 4 years dedicated to event management.
  • Demonstrated success in planning and executing annual thought leadership conferences or similar events is essential.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is required; experience within health systems is a plus.
  • Startup experience is highly desirable.

  • Location: Boston, MA preferred (fully remote option available).
  • Travel: 10-15%.
