The Interborough Developmental and Consultation Center is seeking an experienced psychiatrist to join our team. This hybrid role involves assessing patients, diagnosing mental disorders, prescribing treatments, and conducting follow-up appointments to monitor patient progress. Compensation and Benefits

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients
  
• Conduct medication evaluations and ongoing pharmacologic treatment
  
• Participate in incident reviews and treatment planning
  
• Diagnose patients accurately and develop comprehensive treatment plans
  
• Document patients’ diagnoses, symptoms, medication, and treatment effectiveness
  
• Provide emotional support and strategies to manage disorders
  
• Stay updated on new developments in psychiatry and mental health
  

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine from an accredited medical school
  
• Minimum 3 years of psychiatric experience under supervision in a residency program
  
• NYS Board of Psychiatry certification and license
  
• Current DEA registration
