We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner for a Hospitalist position with a 7on/7off block schedule, offering 10-hour shifts in a full-time role eligible for benefits. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, including initial history and physicals (H&Ps) within 24 hours of admission, follow-ups, and discharge planning.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and support staff to create integrated treatment plans.
  • Co-manage patients with complex medical comorbidities alongside mental health providers.
  • Educate patients and families on medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle adjustments.
  • Provide medical consults and recommend diagnostic tests and treatments as needed.
  • Deliver emergency care within your licensure scope until specialized care is available.

Qualifications

  • Active Alaska NP/APRN license or the ability to obtain licensure.
  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • AANPCB Board Certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of post-training experience in an inpatient or acute care setting preferred (behavioral health experience a plus).
