The Field Support Technician will provide onsite support across all services utilizing ITIL service processes, including change, incident, release, and configuration management. This role focuses on implementing new releases of service components into the operational environment and executing moves, adds, and changes to service components. You will be involved in the investigation, diagnosis, and resolution of problems and incidents related to various service components, including routers, firewalls, switches, gateways, cable infrastructure, and communications software and protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys, assessments, and physical inventories
  • Collaborate with analysts and specialists to resolve incidents and implement changes
  • Install new equipment and infrastructure, including cabling and networking devices
  • Ensure proper equipment availability for site visits
  • Maintain standard approved IOS configurations and perform necessary hardware changes
  • Manage data regarding employees, hardware, and the proper disposal of IT assets
  • Maintain equipment storage locations and assigned vehicles

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in IT support or field operations
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and networking equipment
  • Experience with inventory management systems
  • Familiarity with NSWAN and Remedy Asset databases preferred

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant certifications in IT or networking are a plus
