• 3+ years of experience in financial processing roles such as Mortgage Loan Officer, Underwriter, or Financial Aid Processor
• Strong attention to detail and comfort with financial records
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze information

• Ability to meet daily processing goals of 21 files per day

Responsibilities

• Review and approve student financial aid documents according to established procedures
• Process and award financial aid, including Pell Grants, loans, and other funding sources
• Verify eligibility for disbursement and ensure accurate fund distribution
• Calculate excess funding and process refunds when necessary
• Determine earned/unearned aid for students who withdraw or graduate
• Maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Institutional policies related to Title IV financial aid programs
• Review financial aid eligibility through the National Student Loan Database System (NSLDS) and Common Originations and Disbursement System (COD)
• Stay updated on policy changes and attend required training sessions

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial processing roles
• Proven attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a remote environment

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree or higher in a related field preferred
