The Mesa Fire and Medical Department is seeking dedicated individuals for the position of Firefighter Recruit. This role involves rigorous testing and qualifications to ensure the highest standards of safety and professionalism in our firefighting team. Compensation and Benefits

  • Firefighter Recruit Pay: $52,249 Annually
  • Mesa Firefighter Pay (After Promotion from Recruit Academy): $54,928 Annually

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old by July 26, 2024.
  • High school diploma or GED by July 26, 2024.
  • Must possess a valid Arizona Class D Driver’s License by hire or promotion date.
  • Completion of the CPAT required within six months of the Academy’s start date.

Experience Requirements

  • Completion of Fire Science coursework and previous firefighting experience is preferred. Bilingual skills in Spanish are also preferred.
