Skills

  • Proficient in electrical meter testing
  • Knowledge of electric motor systems (DC)
  • Expertise in vehicle systems and components
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge
  • Understanding of DOT regulations and OSHA safety regulations
  • Strong hand dexterity and ability to use hand tools

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment
  • Conduct annual inspections on all fleet vehicles and equipment
  • Execute quality maintenance repairs on all fleet vehicles
  • Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write-ups promptly
  • Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs to specifications
  • Document all work performed on work orders
  • Complete electrical repairs and welding projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver’s license

Education Requirements

  • Technical training in Medium/Heavy Duty truck maintenance

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • High School or Equivalent

Experience Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair or 1 year with a 2-year technical school certificate
