As the chief legal officer, the General Counsel will provide expert legal and strategic advice to Commissioners, the Executive Director, the executive team, and staff. This role focuses on areas such as urban renewal, redevelopment, and economic development to foster an equitable, innovative, and financially sustainable agency. The General Counsel will lead attorneys and professional staff within the Legal Department, responsible for offering legal advice and representation on various legal matters, including complex real estate development, commercial finance projects, Urban Renewal statutes, intergovernmental agreements, employment and collective bargaining laws, litigation, and public procurement.
