Skills

  • Proficiency in performing general dentistry services
  • Strong diagnostic skills using x-rays and dental instruments
  • Ability to educate patients on preventive dental care
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulations

Responsibilities

  • Perform all general dentistry services, including the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gums, and related oral structures.
  • Examine patients to determine the nature of their dental conditions using x-rays, dental instruments, and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Provide preventive dental services and education on oral hygiene.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring protective equipment is utilized and OSHA/Bloodborne pathogen requirements are followed.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities permitted under applicable state laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD degree, licensed in the state of practice or ability to obtain licensure upon graduation.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.

Education Requirements

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD)

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Professional degree in dentistry

Experience Requirements

  • Experience in general dentistry is preferred but not mandatory.
