The Head, Medical Affairs and Evidence Generation (MA&EG) Strategy and Planning is a pivotal role that will drive strategic and operational success of the MA&EG organization. This individual will serve as a key business partner and trusted advisor to the Global Head of MA&EG and the MA&EG Community Leadership Team. They will help co-create and drive strategy for the vision, goals, roadmap, and other relevant deliverables across MA&EG. This individual will act as a critical integration point within Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Commercial, Clinical, and Development and will be responsible for the operational aspects of the MA&EG Community. The Head of MA&EG will also manage a team of individuals who will work across geographies and teams to enable the organization to achieve our goals.

  • Prior Medical Affairs Strategy and Planning experience is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a complex, fast-moving, and matrixed environment

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic and operational partner to the Global Head of Medical Affairs and Evidence Generation
  • Co-create and help drive MA&EG strategies that align with Vision 2030
  • Monitor and report on the performance of key initiatives and annual plans
  • Lead and coordinate day-to-day operations of the MA&EG Community
  • Own special projects and oversee cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree (MBA, MD, PhD, MS, PharmD, etc.) is required
  • Minimum 10 years in a leadership role with at least 5 years in pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, cross-functional projects
  • Strong understanding of the clinical development process

Education Requirements

  • Advanced Degree required

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • MBA, MD, PhD, MS, PharmD, etc.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in leadership roles
  • Experience in managing projects across multiple geographies and time zones
  • Ability to travel 30-40% of the time as needed
