Compensation and Benefits

Pay ranges for this job title may differ based on location, responsibilities, skills, experience, and other requirements, with a minimum range of \(15.00-\)18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Process requests for patient health information in compliance with policies and regulations
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information
  • Assist with inbound and outbound communication via phone, email, and fax
  • Manage patient health records and ensure HIPAA compliance
  • Support training for new associates in the HIS I position

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-year experience in Health Information Management (HIM)
  • Ability to work overtime during peak seasons
  • Strong data entry skills and multi-tasking ability

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year related Health Information experience
  • Experience in a medical office environment is preferred but not required
