Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between accounting and internal/external customers, addressing inquiries and resolving discrepancies
  • Conduct detailed reviews, audits, and analyses of financial processes, including payroll, accounts payable, and grant accounting
  • Identify and correct errors or misstatements in financial reports
  • Support and coordinate external audits, preparing schedules and necessary documentation
  • Compile and analyze financial data, generating periodic and ad-hoc reports
  • Prepare journal entries, payroll transactions, and general ledger entries while ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies
  • Assist with budgeting, grant management, and financial resource allocation
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff
  • Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience (healthcare experience preferred)
