The Heavy Equipment Technician at Waste Management will be responsible for performing complex preventative maintenance tasks and troubleshooting a wide variety of equipment, including trucks and heavy machinery.   • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various equipment and systems
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs on a variety of equipment, including bulldozers, backhoes, and trucks
  • Diagnose and repair differentials, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
  • Complete preventative maintenance checklists
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed
  • Service and maintain light plants, water pumps, and welders
  • Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Six (6) years of relevant work experience
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position
