  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient in hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics
  • Ability to operate metalworking tools (lathe, drill press, grinder)

Responsibilities

  • Observe and listen to mechanical devices to identify issues
  • Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts
  • Examine parts for imperfections and adjust functional components
  • Repair or replace defective parts and install special components
  • Lubricate and clean machinery parts
  • Conduct performance tests of equipment
  • Coordinate purchase orders for parts and machines
  • Assist or direct less experienced mechanics as needed

Qualifications

  • Four years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance
  • No formal education required; hands-on experience is valued
