Skills

  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related behavioral health field
  • Experience providing individual, family, and group therapy to diverse populations
  • Previous experience working with juvenile justice youth is a plus
  • Valid clinical license
  • Strong computer skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance for conducting home visits
  • The ability to travel within the Detroit, MI area
  • The ability to relocate to Detroit, MI 48202 before starting work

Responsibilities

  • Empower Families: Assess family needs and develop personalized treatment plans to guide them toward their goals
  • Provide Compassionate Care: Implement interventions that foster positive change and progress for youth and families
  • Facilitate Healing: Conduct individual, family, and group counseling sessions in clients’ homes
  • Collaborate & Advocate: Work closely with community agencies and other professionals to ensure comprehensive client care
  • Manage Cases Effectively: Utilize caseload management systems and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Document & Report: Maintain accurate records and submit timely reports to track client progress
  • Provide Crisis Intervention: Offer support and guidance during challenging times

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related behavioral health field
  • Experience providing individual, family, and group therapy to diverse populations
  • Valid clinical license
