You will provide overall leadership, direction, and accountability for the local hospice program, handling day-to-day operations, staff leadership, financial performance, regulatory oversight, and continued growth of the branch.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the overall management and performance of hospice operations
  • Lead branch operations with accountability for staffing, hiring, budgets, and day-to-day execution
  • Develop and manage the annual budget, while monitoring expenditures and financial performance
  • Analyze business volume, market conditions, competition, service mix, and operational costs
  • Drive growth by expanding new and existing referral and client relationships
  • Partner with recruiting and leadership to attract, hire, and retain top talent
  • Work closely with clinical leadership on intake activity, patient needs, and operational execution
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and applicable federal and state regulations
  • Help build and maintain a strong branch culture focused on performance, service, and stability

Qualifications

  • Must have hospice experience
  • Must be local to the Houston, TX market
  • Must have strong local market knowledge and established contacts
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hospice operations management experience
  • Experience with budget development, financial oversight, and expense management
  • Broad understanding of federal and state regulatory requirements
  • Strong leadership, operational, strategic, and managerial ability
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving ability, and decision-making skills

Education Requirements

  • Relevant degree in health care administration, business management, or a related field

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
