The Hazardous Waste and Toxics Reduction program within the Department of Ecology is seeking to fill a Hydrogeologist (Hydrogeologist 3) position. This role is based in the Southwest Regional Office located on the first floor of our Headquarters Office in Lacey, WA. Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.

In this role, you will serve as the regional technical expert for permitting, closure, and corrective action for complex contaminated groundwater site characterizations and emerging contaminants under the state’s Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) and the federal Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). This position provides hydrogeological expertise and supports senior project managers or independently manages cleanup at facilities within the region to ensure they achieve cleanup goals.
