Join our high-performing maintenance team as a Maintenance Mechanic, responsible for the day-to-day and long-term maintenance of our complex foundry and mill equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting, and rebuilding industrial production machinery and supporting equipment. You will operate mobile equipment, such as forklifts and scissor lifts, as required to perform maintenance duties, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints
  • Basic understanding of and troubleshooting skills in general mechanical systems such as hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating assemblies
  • Knowledge in troubleshooting and rebuilding various types of pumps (e.g., centrifugal, diaphragm, and piston pumps)
  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
  • Strong teamwork skills, along with the ability to work independently as a self-starter
  • Multitasking capabilities and effective problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on industrial production machinery and supporting equipment
  • Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and rebuild machinery as needed
  • Operate mobile equipment, including forklifts and lifts, to conduct maintenance duties
  • Read and interpret safety and work instructions to understand required specifications
  • Maintain and obtain necessary tools to expand your craft

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar role
  • Familiarity with industrial machinery and maintenance practices
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Additional technical training or certifications in mechanical maintenance preferred

Experience Requirements

  • Relevant experience in maintenance mechanics in an industrial manufacturing setting is preferred.
