The Claims Clerk plays a vital role in managing correspondence related to insurance products, claims, and accounts. Skills

  • 1 year of customer service and/or claims experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with applicable systems (such as Facets)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Explain policies, laws, and regulations clearly in correspondence
  • Prepare and modify correspondence documents and templates as necessary
  • Distribute and collect correspondence letters and emails
  • Process outgoing correspondence efficiently
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather relevant information
  • Provide assistance to other positions and back up as needed
  • Work overtime as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in customer service or claims handling
  • Strong background in insurance products and policies preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
