The Intelligence Community (IC) Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program provides scientists and engineers from diverse disciplines with exceptional opportunities to conduct research on a broad array of topics pertinent to the Intelligence Community. Postdocs will conduct their research in collaboration with a Research Advisor and an advisor from the Intelligence Community. This unique opportunity allows postdocs to pursue their research at any university or government lab of their choice.

In collaboration with their Research Advisor, postdocs will compose and submit a technical proposal that addresses one of the 42 identified research opportunities.

Detailed Benefits and Perks

  • Annual travel budget of up to $6,000
  • Host institutions receive an annual laboratory budget of up to $5,000
  • Research Advisors receive a \(10,000 stipend and an annual travel budget of up to \)2,000

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual stipends range from \(78,000 to \)82,000, depending on research location
  • Appointments for 2 years, with an option to extend for a third year
