Description

As an integral part of our Gas Operations team, this position reports to the Gas Operations Manager and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of landfill gas collection and control systems (GCCS). The GCCS encompasses a series of extraction points known as wells, interconnected via piping. Collected landfill gas (LFG) is transported using gas conveyance equipment, and proper operation of the GCCS is crucial to comply with various State and Federal environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain GCCS to ensure regulatory compliance and optimize performance
  • Calibrate and manage electronic data collection devices
  • Implement GCCS preventative maintenance plans
  • Operate liquid management system pumps and troubleshoot liquid levels
  • Perform wellfield valve/vacuum adjustments and data collection
  • Complete WM Landfill Gas Technician I Training
  • Be available for on-call response to GCCS malfunctions

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license
