Skills

• Advanced knowledge of programming languages: Java, Scala, Python, C#
• Production experience with technologies including HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Oozie/Airflow, AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, Snowflake
• Proficiency in data mining/programming tools (e.g. SAS, SQL, R, Python)
• Familiarity with database technologies (e.g. PostgreSQL, Redshift, Snowflake, Greenplum)
• Experience in data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, MicroStrategy)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Create and manage cloud resources in AWS
• Ingest data from various sources using different technologies
• Implement data ingestion and processing using Big Data technologies
• Process and transform data utilizing Spark and cloud services
• Develop automated data quality checks to ensure data accuracy and reliability

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer in consumer finance or equivalent industries
• Strong academic background in math, statistics, computer science, or related disciplines
• Good understanding of business intelligence and analytical tools
• Familiarity with AWS certification, Spark Streaming, Kafka Streaming, ELK Stack, Cassandra/MongoDB, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Jira, Confluence) is a plus

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
