The LOA/ADA Specialist will provide comprehensive leave coordination services for associates under state and federal leave laws, including the Family & Medical Leave Act (FMLA), as well as Company policy. This role requires a professional who can maintain, report on, and analyze leave-related data while executing duties with integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy. Skills

  • Strong understanding of leave laws including FMLA, ADA, and related state programs
  • Functional knowledge of HIPAA regulations
  • Excellent data entry and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with various stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Administer Leave of Absence (LOA) processes thoroughly
  • Oversee the administration by the third-party leave administrator (TPA) of associate leaves of absence
  • Perform leave administration activities including document management and data entry
  • Communicate and serve as a liaison among Company, associates, and relevant third parties regarding LOA matters
  • Conduct audits of LOA data and processes to ensure integrity and compliance
  • Participate in special projects as requested by management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent job-related experience required
  • 2 years of experience in leave administration under FMLA and related state programs
  • 2 years of experience in a team-based environment in human resources
  • Proven ability to quickly and accurately input, review, and analyze data

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Professional certification in HR or related fields is a plus but not required.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with leave administration and related compliance processes.
