- Proficient in using iManage and Lexis-Nexis for legal research and document management
- Strong understanding of contract law and legal terminology
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in legal documents
- Ability to conduct thorough legal research using various resources
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders
- Proficient in proofreading legal documents for grammar, punctuation, and formatting errors
- Familiarity with general law office procedures and protocols
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, such as contracts and pleadings
- Organize and maintain legal files and documents
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings
- Draft correspondence and communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in the case
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and coordinating with witnesses
- Perform clerical tasks, such as filing, faxing, photocopying, and scanning documents
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy in work
Education Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred
