  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to independently assess psychosocial functioning and needs
  • Experience in developing and implementing treatment plans
  • Proficiency in cognitive behavioral treatments and other empirically supported modalities
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse populations
  • Ability to provide counseling and psychotherapy services effectively

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate appropriate referrals to community and other government agencies for services.
  • Independently assess the psychosocial functioning and needs of patients and their families and formulate treatment plans collaboratively.
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide treatment to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Implement treatment modalities for individuals, families, and groups experiencing psychiatric, medical, and social problems.
  • Provide counseling and/or psychotherapy services within the bounds of your license or certification.
  • Consult with other staff about the psychosocial needs of patients.
  • Participate in professional peer review case conferences and research studies as required.

Qualifications

  • Must have a current, full, active, and unrestricted license as an independent Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
  • Strong clinical skills, especially in the treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder.
  • Ability to document clinical training and experience effectively.

Education Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work (MSW) from a School of Social Work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).

Experience Requirements

  • At least two (2) years of clinical experience within the last 36 months using empirically supported psychological interventions.
  • Proven experience in the treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder.
