We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Loan Officer to join our financial services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, authorizing, and recommending approval of loan applications. This role requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial software, and the ability to negotiate effectively with clients. As a Loan Officer, you will play a crucial role in helping clients secure financing that meets their needs while adhering to the regulations set forth by TILA and other governing bodies. We prefer individuals with an active MLO/NMLS license. If you do not have the qualifying certifications, please note that you are solely financially responsible for obtaining one upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate loan applications and financial information to determine creditworthiness
  • Conduct credit analysis and assess risks associated with lending
  • Utilize accounting software and financial software to process applications efficiently
  • Negotiate loan terms with clients, ensuring clarity and compliance with banking regulations
  • Collaborate with underwriters to facilitate the approval process for loans
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and client interactions
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan application process
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to financial services
