The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NNCSB) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Child & Adolescent Outpatient team. Compensation and Benefits

Annual Salary: \(51,253 + \)3,000 Sign-on Bonus. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:30 am - 6:00 pm (until 7:00 pm one day per week).

Responsibilities

  • Assist the psychiatrist with medication management and treatment planning
  • Administer, monitor, order, and dispense medications
  • Conduct routine physical and mental health assessments
  • Complete medical intakes and obtain vital signs
  • Monitor clients for medication effectiveness and side effects
  • Provide education and supportive counseling to clients and families
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
  • Manage medication inventory and ensure proper medication security
  • Schedule medical appointments and coordinate follow-up care
  • Communicate effectively with treatment team members regarding client needs

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program
  • Current, active Virginia LPN license
  • One (1) year of experience administering medications in a psychiatric, behavioral health, substance use treatment, long-term care, or related healthcare setting
