Description
The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide Direct Instructional Services (DIS) in speech/language as outlined in special education students’ IEPs. You will evaluate, consult, and advocate to ensure that school clients receive appropriate speech/language services, collaborating with the Clinical Director to develop and implement effective programs. This role is essential for addressing language and speech development for children with disabilities who require special education services.

Compensation and Benefits
- \(35-\)40 per hour (depending on experience and credential)

Responsibilities
- Provide hourly Speech/Language Services for non-school clients
- Implement Speech/Language IEP goals and objectives for assigned students
- Perform screening evaluations on students for potential speech/language services
- Attend IEP annual reviews and staff meetings as scheduled
- Confer with stakeholders to ensure understanding of students’ needs
- Advocate for student needs through the IEP process
- Develop and implement community outreach programs
- Supervise and mentor interns in the Speech/Language Department
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (M.A.) in Communicative Disorders or equivalent
- Licensed by the California State Department of Consumer Affairs, Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Examinining Committee
- Certified by the National Speech-Language and Hearing Association as clinically competent
- Minimum of one year of SLP experience with students having autism spectrum disorders
