Elite Asia is seeking highly motivated and resourceful freelancers to join our linguist team. Our linguists are tasked with completing assignments that meet our client’s specifications. Most of our projects are in the Legal, Banking and Finance, Media, and Marketing industries. We currently require Mandarin/Chinese translators familiar with the dialects of Singapore and Malaysia, who can work with us long-term and are available for urgent projects.

Skills

• High fluency in English and Chinese (Singapore or Malaysia dialect)
• Ability to post-edit machine translation content to human translation quality
• Strong communication skills and responsiveness
• Flexibility to work on various projects across different industries

Responsibilities

• Complete translation assignments that meet client specifications
• Ensure high-quality translations and post-editing of machine-generated content
• Maintain a minimum daily capacity of 1,200 words and weekly capacity of 6,000 words (or indicate your capacity)
• Respond to job inquiries and requests within 1 hour during office hours (Mon-Fri)
• Indicate availability for translation jobs on weekends and public holidays

Qualifications

• At least 1-2 years of experience in translation (fresh graduates are welcome)
• Experience in relevant industries such as Advertising, Government, Education, Gaming, Legal, Industrial and Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Retail, Technology, or Travel
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards in translation

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory

• Linguistics, Translation, or related fields

Experience Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in translation is preferred
• Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply
