Material Handlers play a critical role in moving recyclable materials throughout the facility while conducting material grading and evaluating for sale destinations.

Skills

  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack, handcarts)
  • Basic computer skills to use PC tablets for information management
  • Strong attention to detail for material grading and documentation
  • Physical stamina and capability to handle heavy materials

Responsibilities

  • Move material through the facility using appropriate equipment
  • Load materials into vehicles and secure them to prevent damage during transit
  • Use PC tablets to receive and dispense information (part numbers, quantities, etc.)
  • Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated areas
  • Attach identifying tags or labels to materials and document work performed
  • Conduct material audits as required
