Responsibilities

  • Provide expert medical and procedural consultation to residents, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with facility administrators to improve resident care programs, medical equipment, and staffing.
  • Be available 247 for emergency consultations, providing critical support to facility staff.
  • Participate in monthly Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) meetings.
  • Develop clinical pathways designed to optimize resident care.
  • Provide direct patient care and conduct on-site visits to facilities at least twice per month.
  • Provide telehealth services as needed.

Qualifications

  • Licensed physician with a strong commitment to geriatric care.
  • Passion for improving the quality of care in long-term care settings.

Education Requirements

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).

Experience Requirements

  • Experience in post-acute care settings is preferred.
