Skills

  • Proficiency in performing laboratory tests on blood, plasma, urine, CSF, and other body fluids.
  • Ability to comply with established standards and practices in lab testing.
  • Experience with quality control procedures and data analysis.
  • Strong communication skills for relaying test results to healthcare providers.
  • Troubleshooting skills for equipment maintenance and calibration.

Responsibilities

  • Perform qualitative and quantitative tests following standard operating procedures.
  • Comply with established laboratory, hospital, CAP, and JCAHO guidelines.
  • Conduct quality control procedures and analyze data to maintain accuracy.
  • Identify and act on abnormal patient results, seeking assistance when needed.
  • Perform and document equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  • Communicate test results to physicians and authorized healthcare providers.

Qualifications

  • ASCP certification (or equivalent).
  • Associate Degree in Science (minimum).
  • Previous lab experience preferred but new graduates are welcome to apply.

  • Associate Degree in Science or related field.

  • ASCP certification or equivalent is required.

Experience Requirements

  • Previous laboratory experience is preferred, though new graduates will also be considered.
