Goodyear is immediately hiring for the position of Mid-Level Automotive Technician! You will be gaining hands-on experience at one of our Auto Service centers, utilizing your mechanical aptitude to diagnose technical issues while delivering outstanding service. This role will also help you become familiar with brakes, alignments, and other aspects of the rapidly evolving automotive industry.

Responsibilities

  • Perform line technician services and routine inspections/maintenance
  • Conduct system diagnostics and problem-solving
  • Execute brake repairs, fluid exchanges, preventative maintenance, and wheel alignments
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior automotive technicians
  • Document all work performed on the repair order
  • Report safety issues immediately to management
  • Promote teamwork to deliver timely and accurate guest care
  • Maintain adherence to Company policy on vehicle care and operation
  • Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of automotive experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • ASE Certification is a plus

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in automotive service, including brake repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Previous experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests preferred
  • Experience with electrical, air conditioning, and advanced fuel ignition systems a plus
