The Mid to Senior Level Environmental Chemist will play a key role in providing oversight of chemical data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation of results for environmental consulting work. This position involves ensuring laboratory work is completed accurately, reviewing lab data, completing reports, and validating data. The ideal candidate will work independently within a team structure and be passionate about producing quality work while contributing to a positive work environment.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or a closely related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in environmental consulting or related fields
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to serve as a team leader and player
  • Knowledge of laboratory analytical methods and field sampling techniques
  • Familiarity with U.S. EPA SW-846 methods and regulatory programs

Responsibilities

  • Oversee chemical data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation
  • Develop project quality assurance and sampling plans
  • Serve as Chemical Data Quality Control officer for federal clients
  • Manage subcontracted analytical laboratory services
  • Supervise and mentor junior to mid-level chemists
  • Collaborate on technical issues with project managers
  • Work with Corporate QC managers to support business development
