Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Leadership abilities as both a team leader and team player
  • Knowledge of laboratory analytical methods and field sampling techniques
  • Familiarity with U.S. EPA SW-846 methods and regulatory programs (RCRA, CERCLA, CWA, CAA)
  • Experience in environmental laboratory and consulting work

Responsibilities

  • Oversee chemical data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation for federal and private sector projects
  • Develop project quality assurance plans and sampling analysis plans
  • Act as the Chemical Data Quality Control officer, interacting directly with clients
  • Manage subcontracted laboratory services and resolve technical issues
  • Supervise and mentor junior to mid-level chemists
  • Collaborate with the environmental database manager to enhance the Environmental Data Management System (EDMS)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or a closely related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or related industries
  • Proven ability to produce quality work and contribute positively to the team environment
