As a Tech Support Specialist for Mini-Split HVAC Systems, you will provide essential phone-based technical support to contractors, technicians, and customers. Your role involves troubleshooting and resolving various issues related to mini-split systems, guiding users through diagnostics, and identifying necessary parts. You will maintain accurate call logs and escalate complex issues while recommending and upselling replacement parts, for which you will be commission eligible. Staying informed about the latest product changes and technical bulletins is also a key aspect of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide phone-based technical support to contractors, technicians, and customers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions, wiring issues, and error codes
  • Guide users through system diagnostics and part identification
  • Maintain accurate logs of calls and escalate complex issues as necessary
  • Recommend and upsell necessary replacement parts
  • Stay up to date with product changes and technical bulletins

Qualifications

  • 1–2+ years of hands-on experience with mini-split HVAC systems
  • Previous experience with brands like LG, Daikin, GREE, or similar preferred
  • Background in HVAC technician roles or similar support positions
  • Strong understanding of system components, electrical schematics, and troubleshooting protocols
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in HVAC preferred

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant experience in HVAC technical support
  • Proven experience with troubleshooting mini-split systems and electrical schematics
