The Montessori Coordinator at Buena Vista will ensure the fidelity of Montessori practices throughout the school and work to enhance the understanding of these practices among staff and the community. This role requires close collaboration with the Teaching and Learning Coach (TLC) and includes various responsibilities aimed at supporting educators in delivering authentic Montessori education.

Compensation and Benefits

Teachers hired into D11 are placed on an appropriate lane and step of the salary schedule based on educational background and job-related experience, with a minimum in-hire salary of \(39,273/yr and a maximum of \)69,432/yr. This role is also eligible for comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and conduct tours for prospective parents and community members

  • Model Montessori lessons as requested by teachers
  • Lead staff training and Professional Learning Community meetings
  • Participate in the Building Leadership Team
  • Collaborate to align the Montessori curriculum with state standards
  • Assist in recruiting Montessori staff
  • Serve as a liaison between the school and teacher education programs
  • Help manage student data and reports
  • Support the TLC as needed

Qualifications

  • Valid teaching license and Montessori certification
  • Strong background in education, particularly in Montessori methods
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a school environment

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
  • Montessori certification

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Must provide official college transcripts and teaching credentials

Experience Requirements

  • Experience in a Montessori education setting preferred
  • Prior experience in a teaching or educational leadership role
