The Network Cable and Telephony Technician plays a crucial role in supporting telephony data collection and validation. Key responsibilities include reviewing and correcting billing statements, interacting with end users and supervisors, managing cable organization in IDF/MDF data closets, and hardware installation and removal. This role requires driving to various offices located throughout Maricopa, Pinal, and Pima counties as needed.

Skills

  • Strong customer service skills in person, verbally, and in writing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft/Google Word and spreadsheet software
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Capability to climb ladders (step, six foot, and eight foot)
  • Familiarity with physical and soft phones
  • Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Support telephony data collection and validation
  • Review and correct billing statements
  • Manage cable organization in IDF/MDF data closets
  • Install and remove hardware in data closets
  • Process customer work requests for move/add/change and break/fix tasks
  • Drive to various locations throughout the county as needed

Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience with Microsoft/Google office suites
  • Two years of experience in physical network cabling (patching, cable management)
  • Minimum of two years of customer service experience interacting with diverse groups/individuals in a service provider position

Education Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School diploma

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience Requirements

  • Two years of relevant experience in customer service and physical network cabling
