Skills

  • Implement, upgrade, and configure network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds
  • Define requirements for designing and deploying heterogeneous network environments
  • Experience with Cisco and Juniper platforms
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, GovCloud, C2S)
  • Proficient in automating monitoring and reporting
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for complex layer 2 and layer 3 issues
  • Familiarity with project management tracking tools like JIRA
  • Experience with COMSEC monitoring tools such as GEM-X and GENOME
  • Compliance with configuration and change management policies

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy a fault and performance network management system
  • Identify deficiencies in existing platforms and propose solutions
  • Customize network management implementations for improved fault resolution
  • Support integration of various COTS vendor products
  • Provide knowledge transfer to maintain the monitored environment
  • Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in network management platforms
  • Knowledge of Unix and leading hardware vendors’ products
