The StaRN/Residency program is a comprehensive yearlong residency designed for new graduate nurses to gain acute care experience through a structured internship. The program starts with a 10-16 week PAID Classroom/Preceptorship, allowing participants to acquire the necessary skills to thrive in various hospital units, including Medical Surgical and PCU.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay during training:
    • Medical/Surgical: \(27.20-\)29.93
    • Critical Care, ICU, ED: $29.92+
  • Sign on/Relocation bonus: $7,500 (2-year commitment, payable once training/preceptorship is complete)

Responsibilities

  • Engage in instructor-led classroom training and simulation
  • Participate in a clinical preceptorship with a one-on-one preceptor

Qualifications

  • Current Florida RN license or Multi-state Compact RN license
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing school within the past year
  • Attendance throughout the StaRN Training program is imperative

Education Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Nursing Degree (ADN, BSN, etc.)

Experience Requirements

  • No prior healthcare experience required, but preferred candidates will have experience in home health, corrections, or LTC.
  • New grads accepted with or without RN license.
