Job Description

About Us We’re Humble Hackers — a remote team that builds SEO-first websites and fast-shipping AI tools. Our stack has opinions. So do we. But we’re always open to better ones — especially when they come with clean code and smarter systems. 🧩 The Task (Let’s Start Here) Our website runs on a Next.js frontend with a headless WordPress backend. It mostly works — but under the hood, it’s tangled. We’re dealing with: API call bottlenecks Inconsistent cache behavior Page hydration and render issues General slowness in both build and runtime This isn’t just about patching a bug. We need someone who can: Diagnose what’s wrong Explain what needs fixing Recommend better architecture or flow And ideally: ship the proof-of-fix We’re quietly hiring for a long-term dev role, but only if you can think in systems — not just fix tickets. 💬 Who You Are (Ideally) You’ve worked on real hybrid stacks — Next.js + headless CMS or similar You’re not afraid to say “This setup is messy and here’s why” You explain trade-offs like an architect, but debug like a builder You document clearly, execute fast, and keep your ego low 🎯 How to Apply Send a short proposal explaining how you’d approach figuring out what’s wrong in a stack like ours — and what you’d want to look at first. If it looks promising, we’ll send you a short form to dive deeper into how you think and solve problems. 💵 What’s In It For You Real work, not vague tickets Fast feedback and context Long-term remote dev role if it clicks Autonomy, async culture, and clean decision-making 🚫 Don’t Apply If... You only ship what’s already mapped, or freeze without Jira. We value initiative and clarity over hustle theater. Final Note: This job is posted as a micro-task, but we’re looking for someone who sees through stack chaos and simplifies it. If that’s your zone — we want to hear from you.
