You will interact with clients, their staff, Board of Directors, and Finance Committees while providing expert financial insights and solutions.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of \(90,000 - \)120,000, plus overtime eligibility and potential bonuses

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5-7+ years of accounting experience, preferably with nonprofit organizations
  • Strong ability to manage multiple clients, work independently, and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with various general ledger systems (QuickBooks experience is a plus!)
  • Experience working in a remote environment is preferred
  • CPA certification and/or public accounting experience is a plus
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple nonprofit clients
  • Provide financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making for leadership and Board presentations
  • Recommend and implement improvements to accounting operations, internal controls, and compliance policies
  • Oversee transactional accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, grant management, fund allocations, and funder reporting
  • Prepare for and manage annual audits
  • Conduct training for clients and staff to strengthen financial processes and best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5-7+ years of accounting experience, preferably with nonprofit organizations
