The Nurse Practitioner in Occupational Medicine will be an essential part of our onsite employee health clinic within the industrial manufacturing sector. In this full-time role, you will evaluate and treat occupational injuries and illnesses, conduct DOT physicals and medical surveillance, and manage various health initiatives. You will work independently in a single-provider clinic, collaborating on ergonomic assessments and workplace safety initiatives.

Skills

  • Active Ohio Nurse Practitioner license
  • BLS certification
  • Strong documentation and computer skills
  • Ability to work independently in a single-provider clinic
  • Occupational health, urgent care, ER, or related clinical experience
  • DOT/FMCSA Medical Examiner certification
  • Previous or current COHC certification preferred
  • COHN or COHN-S certification preferred
  • Industrial or manufacturing health experience

Responsibilities

  • Evaluation and treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses
  • Conduct DOT physicals, medical surveillance, audiometry, and vision screenings
  • Perform drug and alcohol testing
  • Manage case management and return-to-work coordination
  • Support wellness initiatives, immunizations, and injury prevention efforts
  • Collaborate on ergonomic assessments and workplace safety initiatives

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in occupational health or related clinical settings
  • Strong ability to document and manage patient records
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with employees and management

Education Requirements

  • Graduate degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Practitioner training

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in Ohio

Experience Requirements

  • Relevant experience in occupational health, urgent care, ER, or clinical settings
  • Prior experience in industrial or manufacturing health environment is preferred
