Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for the OSP Field Engineer position is \(48,000 - \)70,000 per year. We proudly offer comprehensive and competitive benefits programs to our employees and their families.

Skills

  • Strong technical knowledge and skills in telecom.
  • Ability to write, hear, understand, and respond appropriately to verbal requests in English.
  • Knowledge of CAD and/or project management preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend engineering schematics.
  • Basic financial skills to assist in making sound business decisions.
  • Ability to learn and operate customer-based proprietary software and other computer systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop outside plant equipment installation, modifications, and upgrades.
  • Support designs of line setup and staking specifications, and cable and line extensions.
  • Assist in the planning and analysis for new construction of outside plant network structures and facilities.
  • Obtain right-of-way use approval and acquire field data.
  • Ensure all as-built changes and updates to drawings are recorded.
  • Identify obstructions that may impede construction and verify addresses in the field.

Qualifications

  • Work authorization required and must be based in the USA.
  • High school diploma; some college preferred.
  • Telecom experience preferred with 1-year related experience.
  • Ability to travel between job sites and material depots as needed.
  • Willingness to work days/nights/weekends and be on-call as project demands require.

  • High school diploma required; some college preferred.

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of related experience in telecom preferred.
  • Experience with CenturyLink/Lumen is a plus.
