Skills

  • Proficient in preparing patients for examinations and documenting medical histories
  • Ability to perform venipunctures, EKGs, and administer injections
  • Knowledge of patient education and health management
  • Strong communication skills for patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare providers
  • Familiarity with healthcare technology software

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, taking histories and vital signs
  • Administer immunizations and document prescriptions
  • Provide patient education and maintain equipment and supplies
  • Assist healthcare providers during minor surgeries and manage scheduling
  • Screen telephone calls and triage appropriately
  • Maintain patient files and adhere to standard health precautions
  • Contact discharged patients to review follow-up care and medication reconciliation

Qualifications

  • At least two (2) years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a primary health care setting preferred
  • Strong commitment to service excellence and teamwork

Education Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Practical Nursing certificate required (LPN)

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • LPN or equivalent nursing credential

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of practical nursing experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Experience with healthcare technology software is a plus
