Explore Boston while living your best life as a Pastry Cook at The Westin Copley Place Boston, a Marriott International property. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards. You will ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, maintain correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, and monitor the quality of food prepared and portions served throughout the shift. You will work with baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods and prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use. Additionally, you will maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen area by washing and disinfecting it, setting up and breaking down the workstation, and following sanitation and cleaning procedures.
