Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting (required)
  • Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology (required)
  • Customer service mindset for both internal and external customers (required)
  • Medical Assistant and/or Medical Scribe Certification (required)
  • Strong proficiency in computer software navigation including data entry and data cleansing
  • Knowledge of chronic care management processes (preferred)
  • Fluency in English and Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese/Russian (preferred)
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Flexible and adaptable nature, excited by change and a start-up environment
  • Ability to perform duties as assigned or requested

Responsibilities

  • Provide practice support, including contacting members, caregivers, and care team members as directed
  • Work closely with the clinical team to improve members’ health and care
  • Coordinate care for patients of the practice
  • Perform precise data entry within the electronic medical record
  • Ensure data quality and accuracy
  • Answer phones with a customer service-oriented approach
  • Schedule patient visits using mapping software
  • Provide other administrative support as needed

Qualifications

  • Ability to travel within the designated service area with reliable transportation
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle is required
  • Quiet place to work on remote days where patient-related conversations can occur in private

Education Requirements

  • Medical Assistant Certification required.
