Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting (required)
- Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology (required)
- Customer service mindset for both internal and external customers (required)
- Medical Assistant and/or Medical Scribe Certification (required)
- Strong proficiency in computer software navigation including data entry and data cleansing
- Knowledge of chronic care management processes (preferred)
- Fluency in English and Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese/Russian (preferred)
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Flexible and adaptable nature, excited by change and a start-up environment
- Ability to perform duties as assigned or requested
Responsibilities
- Provide practice support, including contacting members, caregivers, and care team members as directed
- Work closely with the clinical team to improve members’ health and care
- Coordinate care for patients of the practice
- Perform precise data entry within the electronic medical record
- Ensure data quality and accuracy
- Answer phones with a customer service-oriented approach
- Schedule patient visits using mapping software
- Provide other administrative support as needed
Qualifications
- Ability to travel within the designated service area with reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license and proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle is required
- Quiet place to work on remote days where patient-related conversations can occur in private
Education Requirements
- Medical Assistant Certification required.
