Bone & Joint is seeking Physical Therapists, experienced and new grads, that are passionate about their careers and desire to collaborate with Physicians, Nurse practitioners, and Physician Assistants to provide the most complete care for their patients.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy (minimum)
  • Current license or eligibility to become licensed to practice as a Physical Therapist in Wisconsin
  • BLS certification (to be acquired within 30 days of hire)
  • Positive and caring attitude
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate with empathy and compassion

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients in accordance with state guidelines
  • Establish appropriate Plans of Care (POC) for patients
  • Oversee treatment provided by the PTA based on established POC
  • Deliver a variety of therapeutic treatments and educate patients
  • Update POC as necessary and document treatment progress
  • Assess for adaptive equipment needs and develop discharge plans
  • Communicate regularly with physicians and medical staff
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to treatment protocol development
  • Comply with federal and state physical therapy regulations
  • Assist in local athletic programming and services

  • Neat and well-groomed with a courteous, pleasant manner
  • Ability to put patients at ease and explain physician’s instructions
  • Respect for the confidentiality of medical information
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement positive changes

Education Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Professional Degree

Experience Requirements

  • Experience in a clinical setting preferred but not mandatory for new graduates
