Skills

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Understanding of basic mechanical engineering concepts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, especially regarding technical terminology related to piping
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Assist in executing piping material engineering projects under supervision of project lead engineers
  • Develop piping material classes based on product and project requirements
  • Specify insulation, paint, and protective coatings on Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Prepare pressure test diagrams and specifications
  • Communicate with other functional groups to ensure comprehensive design packages
  • Adhere to Air Products’ safety requirements and standards

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills
  • Preferred experience with Hexagon / Intergraph SmartPlant tools
  • Familiarity with global engineering organizations and their interactions
  • EIT certification is a plus

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

  • Previous experience in piping engineering and related fields is preferred
